New Best MPH...BUT...No New Best ET (Time Slip/video)

Car ran a NB MPH last night in both the 1/8 th and the 1/4.

Just couldn`t get the 60 Ft`s to cooperate to get a new best ET in either one though

New best mph in the eighth was 117.06 MPH and the 1/4 was 142.15 MPH. On separate runs.

With 100+ passes and about 1600 street miles the 275 DR`s may need to be retired.

The 60 Ft was a 1.38 ET.

Not bad for that dismal 60 foot.I was getting 60s like that when we were 10.0s.

A guy hit them with a durometer at the track and said they were hard as a rock .

Were hoping for 9.10 to 9.15s with a fresh set of tires

Glad to see that the valve springs are still holding up after all these years.

Looks great...curious how long ago you added the Lexan carb scoop. Did you keep before and after results?

Thanks,Im on my other computer so my log in name is different.

As far as the scoop to air filter the scoop was worth .03 et and .4 mph in a back to back test.

I need to clean my air filter out because its filled with grime and dead bugs Ive never cleaned it ever ,so maybe clean there isn't much of a gain ? when its cleaned and flowing better will do the test again soon. That scoop defiantly has some aero drag.

I want to block the front grill off for a pass to my buddy swears its a tenth?

Yeah, it really doesn't look like it's having issues getting off the line either!

Very nice MPH gain! You guys did a good job with that car. How was the weather? Family in North Florida can't stop talking about the 1/2" of ice and snow. . Replace those DR's.

The air was good temps were mid 50s humidity 75-80 % and DA was -300 air density was 100% the only bad thing was the 10-12 mph headwind

Thanks Jim...a seasoned vet like yourself knows that when footbraking a fairly strong car with DR`s it just takes a nano second to get the 'feel' before fully matting it. Sometimes you get close and sometimes not

Now, if we can just have some of your top end 'Space Shuttle' like acceleration....

I think he has the videos screwed up. I believe thats the 9.31 pass that we got a 1.34 60 foot on I was the 2nd car to go down the track after they opened.

The next 3 passes were a smoke show no matter what shock adjustments I made.

The last pass of the night I put a richer tune on the carb.
We new it wasn't gonna hold it off the line so we decided to leave the line a bit softer to see what the mph would be and thats the 1.380 60 FT 9.304 pass
