as soon as my bumpers get here im gonna put the on is there a trick or is it just as simple as it looks i have never done it before i will have help . do i take the old bumper completely off or do i just unbolt the bumper from the brackets??

You normally have to at least loosen most of the bolts, including those on the frame, to get the fit correct, brackets are usually left on but loose, at least in my 69, others years may vary.

I'd start by just removing the bumper bolts from the brackets and do a test fit. You may get lucky and have a great fit. If not, then the bracket to frame bolts will be your adjusting tools.
