Bubbling in a few spots 2 months after paint sprayed.

As title says I painted my elcamino 2 months ago and the paint has some bubbles in 2 or 3 small areas. I was using nason paints and everything was painted in perfect conditions on the same day at once. I’ll attach some pics below. Why is it doing this and is it going to get worse?

Edit: here are the pictures, although it looks like a run it is not, that was not there when it was wet sanded and buffed. Spots are on the tailgate and under the fuel door only.

Probably not the paint but what is underneath it.
IFLY and suazo66 like this.

Tighten it till it strips and back it off a quarter turn.

All the body work was stripped to bare metal and was prepped to perfection, epoxy primer from nason and hardly and body filler anywhere on the car.

Looked at them to me it looks like it's a rust pop. Have you tried cutting the bubble ? See what's under it. Definitely not a solvent pop. Did you use an acid etch? Nason doesn't call for one

I did not use and an acid etch, I don’t really want to cut the bubble yet but the inside of the tailgate looks Normal. If I mixed the paint wrong it would have shown up on the whole car but it’s only on the tailgate.

Don't know how to help cause I hate paint and body work, but there is only one thing you can do to correct this problem and you know what it is. It sucks man but you are just going to have to buff it off and start over.

Can’t be that bad because it’s only the top of the tailgate above the black stripe. So I can just repaint the tailgate top again.

Re: Bubbling in a few spots 2 months after paint sprayed.

Bubbles are one of 2 things, moisture or rust. Either way there is no fix other than cut it open and see whats under there. Since it is white you should not have any issues blending the the repair once you sort it out.

There's nothing wrong with being stupid as long as you know you're stupid, it's when you're stupid and don't know it that you become dangerous.

Re: Bubbling in a few spots 2 months after paint sprayed.

Your either going to have to live with it or cut it and redo the area. I have a few on my car the two that bother me are right above the drivers door so I see it everytime I get in the car. But I'm not fixing it I'll live with it till I redo the car. My paint 26 years old.

I think you might've have water laying in the jamb that made it's way down while you were painting.

Looks to me like the paint solvent lifted the body work. Did you use a sealer like an epoxy primer on top of the body work, before the paint?
