66 trunk pans, which ones?

Planning a little repair on my trunk floor Iíve got a few holes and some rust. Body mount brackets are excellent as well as the trunk brackets. Original excellent drop-offs, Upper trunk and inner wheelhouse as well as all seams with original caulk are excellent. All undercoating excellent except a few areas below bad spots in trunk floor. I really only need patches for the left hand ( drivers side) and center section off the floor of the trunk.

Well AMD, Sherman, Goldstar, or Goodmark. Looking at them is there one that matches the original stamping better then the rest? What about quality. AMD does not look like it matches. I would just like to cut out 3 patches and butt weld them in, the grind off the weld. Thanks

I used a Goodmark 1 Piece Trunk Floor on my 66. The fit and stamping were dead on no issues. I understand this is more than you are doing but just as a brand Feedback

Thanks, they also sell the 3 floor sections, I need left and middle. Mine is a Kansas build, 2nd week of d etc 65. Would you mind sharing your plant and date? The Goodmark brand looks like my pan.

Re: 66 trunk pans, which ones?

Checkout CARS INC. They sell the trunk floor in pieces like you want. US made and much heavier steel than the Chinese parts. If you want to only piece-in and butt weld the areas you cutout, then these will provide you the sections you need with the thicker steel for easier welding.

I rebuilt my entire trunk with their parts and I am very pleased with the outcome. Had to use filler to hide the seams since it is not a one piece floor.

Truth be told I did not have most of the original trunk floor when I bought the car to see if these parts are an exact match to the factory floor..... But I'm a happy camper with how it looks now. And don't forget the trunk mat covers most of the visual floor anyway.

The Dynacorn 1 piece trunk floor is the only way to go. Anything else, especially those junk multi pieces kits, are a waste of time.

Re: 66 trunk pans, which ones?

With all these companyís selling the same trunk panels I wounder if some have the same manufacture? On my trunk the braces and drop-off are all excellent and in no need of repair. So is the everything else in the trunk floor except 3 or 4 spots that need patches in the bottom of the floor.. All 4 patches less then about 10 or less square inches. I am only looking for panels to cut out those patches and butt weld in.
