Upol Clear coats, any opinons?

Wondering if anyone uses Upol clearcoat out there, I have used their hi build primers and am very happy with the results, looking at their 5 liter clear kit UP6505 UP6602 for an overall paint job on a daily driver truck. Any experience? Thanx!

Mostly Camaros and Chevelles and a double nickel

I've used their 4:1 clear and been very happy with the way it laid out, and it sanded and buffed to a nice gloss. My concern with cheaper coatings is their durability and UV protection compared to the more expensive coatings. The car that I used the UPol clear on is garaged and covered, so I'll probably never see any difference.

I have used it once and it was ok. For the money though you cannot beat SPI Universal Clear. I have used just about every clear made in the last 30 years and SPI is the best I have ever used by far. I use to use a lot of PPG but their prices are just ridiculous. Just my $.02

Re: Upol Clear coats, any opinons?

Thanx for the input guys, I bought this at a stand at Fall Carlisle, 5 liters with hardener for $75, which is about half price of the online price ($155 shipped) I did an overall on a black truck and am pretty impressed with the outcome. The only negative review I found online was the clear is yellowish lookin in the can, so not sure if it will affect lighter colors. Not sure I would use it on a keeper show car but stuff goes on brite and seems to cure up good!
