Question How-To Locate Emblem Mount Holes/CI Hood?

How-To correctly mount the '70-'72 Cowl Induction emblems on a repro-hood?

Is there an illustration in the Assembly Manual or the Fisher Manual?

Or a template? ~ Help very much needed & appreciated.

Thanks, Guys!

Do you have the hood? Never seen a repro without the holes punched. The bulge hoods usually do not.

Don't drill holes. Carefully cut off the mounting studs on the back of the emblems (and file them all the way off). Then get some 3M Automotive quality double back tape to mount the emblems (you'll need to trim the tape so it doesn't show). By using this method (just like new car manufacturers) you can pull the emblems off if you happen to mess up.

All of the emblems on my 'Bu are stuck on. Today she's a Nickey-prepped COPO, tomorrow she could be an SS396. There are no holes to worry about!

Does your hood have the hole for the Cowl Induction Flapper/door? If not it should not have the emblems. Cowl Induction is when you have the flapper door and special induction air cleaner. Please post a picture of your hood.
