Eric,
The money is not an issue, just don't want to spend 15K and be disappointed. That is what I am trying to find out.

If I ever hear of someone looking for used stuff I will refer them to this thread.

Ohhhhh!

Apologies!

I thought the title of my thread was pretty clear ? It does say "AFTERMARKET " replacement frame ? Sorry if I mislead anyone. I seriously thought someone was making a stock replacement frame.

No personal experience with them. But, I've spent a lot of time at their display and talked with them about a frame for my 49. The quality IMO looks top notch. The way RS has developed the attachment system for the front suspension looks superior to other manufactures. Plus, the rails are one piece vs multiple pieces welded together to form the frame. What they do is cut key way slots into the tube which allows them to bend the tube to shape.

I know guys running them under 47-55 trucks, great stuff.
Other manufactures I know that truck guys use are Art Morrison and Scott's hot rods. I got the chance to visit Scott's out in CA a few years ago, they build some darn nice cars and make some sweet frames, don't know if they do chevelle frames.

Re: Aftermarket replacement frame ?

I am not aware of anyone making a stock type aftermarket frame, there might be some out there I have not heard of. All the aftermarket frames are far from stock and look great if you want to Pro-touring setup with modern suspension and big brakes. I don't think there would be a big market for stock frames, so that limits the options, since there is a lot of good quality original GM frames out there.
