quarter window trim

hi. anyone know how to get the trim off the quarter window of my 300? also,there is a big open gap at the bottom of the trim. should this be filled? thanks

Which trim are you referring to, the trim along the glass itself or the window fuzzie that is clipped on the quarter panel? Would help to see a pic of this gap you're talking about.

Trim on the glass taps off with a rubber mallet & a small block of wood. Be gentle.

The window fuzzies take patience to get off without distorting them. Use a tiny flat head screwdriver on the clips & the pop off one at a time. Start at each end & alternate side to side.

had time. the red trim is what i want to remove so i can get at the holes. there is a hole the same on the other side.looks like the trim is the way its supposed to be.cant imagine that gap is good

There are spring clips behind that holding it on. You can pop it off. The crappy fit at the bottom rear corner is common, although yours looks to be sticking out a little farther than most do. Once you clean up behind the trim and get the crud out from behind it, and freshen up the tightness of the clips, it might fit better. Good luck!

To remove that trim, those clips need to be treated like windshield molding clips. Much easier with the correct tool. This is the style I like...
