70 malibu front fender "trim" piece

I have a 1970 chevelle malibu. Was originally 307 3 on the tree. Cranberry red with factory vinyl top. Well the vinyl top trim comes aground the rear windows, then forward along the top of the door and continues all the way up the front fenders. Well my left side one got damaged and I'm having difficulty finding one. I can't even find what it's called. Please help. Thanks, joe

I've got a set of front fenders from my 70 laying around that might still have those moldings, I'm not sure. I will take a look to see if they are still there, if you are interested.

My car actually needs new fenders badly. Fenders aren't easily shipped though

I did not reuse the "spears" that were on my 70 Malibu restomod project (link below) -- one of them is in good condition and the other is not. If you have any interest let me know and I'll dig them out to see if the drivers side is ok...

It may be called a fender peak molding or a beltline molding. Many people discard them when they redo their '70 Malibus. I know Tom Parsons (DZAUTO) ditched them from his '70 convertible the last time he repainted the car. Anyone cloning their Malibu into an SS could likewise have the moldings laying around unused.

I pulled mine and the best one is the passenger side. The driver side is ok and is useable, but needs stripping/anodizing/chroming...

Re: 70 malibu front fender "trim" piece

I was going through some of my dads stuff and i think i found the piece i need but it's not in very good shape finish wise. It's straight. The paint on the car is atrocious anyway so it will be fine for now. I ordered new hardware for it from opgi. It will work until the exterior gets redone
