Finally out of paint jail.

Actually, it wasn't too bad, it took about three months for the shop to do all the work on my 70.
Most of the body and floor were solid but both rear quarters and both front fenders needed replacing, also,
Since this is not an SS car, it had the chrome moldings on the front fenders and doors, so I had the shop remove them and weld up the holes.
I am very happy with the results, the body lines are straight as an arrow and the paint is flawless (with the exception of one tiny spot under the hood that nobody will see.)
I have read so many horror stories about body shops that I was really nervous about having my car done, maybe I got lucky.
All I have to do now finish putting all back together.

Nice to hear - how about naming the body shop for others to consider.
I could use a source and am not too far from CT.

I dont mind naming the shop, I think any shop that delivers a really nice job on time and on budget deserves some credit.
By the way, I have no affiliation with them, I'm just a customer.

East Coast Motorsports
Bristol, CT
They restore all kinds of muscle cars but Wayne, the owner is a Chevelle guy, been doing them for many years

Looks really nice I'm glad it wasn't 1 of the horror stories and 3 months for a good job seems fantastic to me and about how things used to be, sounds like that shop has their sh!t together IMO

Thanks for all the compliments, I am getting excited about finishing the car.
The color is Cortez Silver and I am doling an SS dash conversion with Dakota Digital gauges.
The interior will be all black with buckets and a console for Tremec 5 speed.
