Re: BBC engine advice ?

My car is similar to what you're targeting.

Background - I inherited my '67 from my brother's estate and he already had purchased the 463 BB to go in it but never pulled the trigger. The 463 was built with an Edelbrock Performer RPM top end kit (heads, hyd roller cam/lifters, intake, etc.). I upgraded the rest of the car with similar intent as you - driver, built for turning corners and trips. I've done a few road trips and lots of local driving. So far I'm very pleased with the overall combination - 463 BB, 700R4, Holley EFI, Ridetech suspension. The EFI really makes the BB more manageable with good manners (startup, idle, responsiveness and even MPG).

I similarly started with a 283/Powerglide Malibu.
