I've had cars with 700+ HP before, and now that I'm restoring my Chevelle I decided (realized) that all I really need to have fun on the street is a reliable 500hp 468 and an Auto gear Muncie."

This is where I'm having a difficult time deciding what to do...What is "enough", "practical" and "driveable" for the street...
=> What's the driveability of a BBC 468/500 HP vs 540/700 HP vs 582/800 HP w/ good tires assuming it has been built for the STREET w/ proper cams, heads, carb, idle, etc ? Ex: I'm NOT talking about trying to drive a DRAG car on the street.

Thanks for the inputs !
My 468 ci has about 500+ HP very deriveable on the Hwy = 100 Mile one way trips when ever I want to my Relatives
In City Traffic for 20 to 30 Minutes no problem if your Cooling System is up to it
950 Holley Carb / Holley EFI Sniper Gas Tank / Dual Russell Braided Hose Fuel Lines (Feed & Return) /
Aeromotive 340 lph Fuel Pump in Tank / Holley # 12880 Fuel Pressure Regulator / Russell # 650310 Fuel PSI Gauge /
UMI Perf Suspension Parts / Old School Moroso Trick Front Coil Springs/Moog Stock Type Rear Coil Springs
and Comp Eng 3 Way Shocks .

The right Trans = for you would likely be a 4L80M and a good 2,800+Stall Converter / Shifter
The right Geared Rearend based on the Trany you will have
The right Sized/Type of Tires that will be able to get Traction on the Street
and at the Track plus last more than a year

I just had my Hydraulic Roller Engine built in Fall of 2017
if you want a Detailed list of parts send me a PM with your Email
and I will send you the Micro Soft Doc I have of the Parts list

See my Sig for Perf so far and the fact that I back my car out of the Garage any time in nice weather and can drive it any where I want
