Engine specs are. 4.5x4.25 540, brodix bb2 xtra heads, super victor intake, 10.75:1 comp, cam is 260/268 108 lsa, 714/714.
How much would I gain or loose with say four degree advance?

The very first iteration of my 540 was very similar. 10.5 compression, out of the box Brodix 2Xtra's...but I had an older Team G intake (short one) with a 1050 Dominator...no spacer. My cam was a 262/273 on a 112 LSA. .731 lift. It made [email protected] 6400 or so. The Super Victor should help 20+ HP at least.

Those heads respond very well to some port work. The same basic engine made 870'[email protected] after becoming a 555" with another point of compression, ported heads, SV and a 268/272" cam. Still dyno'ing and racing on 93 octane pump gas.

All of this was with a belt driven water pump and no vacuum pump.
