Re: '66 Bucket seat track length question
Black knobs on the lever did not come out until 1971. A 1966 usually uses a weird shaped chrome knob on the lever.
Does anyone know where to source these weird shaped chrome knobs? I need both for my '66!
They did have steel backs and bottoms.
'66 use one a year only steel seat back, because there are no openings in them for a seat back release. (there is no seat back lock on a '66)
Here is a picture of the seat tracks that came on the strato bucket seats that came with on '66. These are not original '66 seats, as they came with center latch releases on the seat backs. (I removed the release mechanisms altogether for my '66) But I do think the tracks are the same as a '66 strato bucket seats. Driver side tracks are at the top of the photo.
