That makes no sense what so ever. Totally un related to your issue. I would check the bulkhead connectors. In case you ever get stranded again, run a jumper from the battery + to your coil + terminal and jumper the starter solenoid. You should be able to drive the car home.

Your just jealous because you can't hear the voices!
