My Gen VI idles at around 600 - 700. Your pressure is fine if your gauge is good, which is actually rare. 10psi per 1000rpms is the rule of thumb, so anything above 10psi at idle is technically OK as long as it rises with revs. Nothing I own or drive drops below 30psi at idle and two of them have well over 200K on the ticker.
One of the reasons the big block Chevy is so popular is its almost bulletproof oiling system. I've had good luck with Gen VI stuff with priority main oiling. I don't know that it'll ever come into play, but I like the peace of mind knowing that if I lose a lifter, the mains will still receive pressurized oil.
