Question "StreetsideClassicCars" & "SmokeyMountainTraders"

When looking at cars (especially Chevelles) for sale on Ebay, I can't help but notice that these two sellers always seem to have 15-20 restored Chevelles for sale… Where do they get such a large quantity of cars?...Are they restoring them themselves or do they buy them already done?…Just wondering…

Claude.

Re: "StreetsideClassicCars" & "SmokeyMountainTraders"

I don't know, but I look at their ads for the models. They've recently added a more mature dark haired one to the stable of busty blondes that they've always had, and I like her!
I'll bet a lot of their cars are on consignment.

It is a rare man who can count his own blessings and not mistake them for personal achievements.

Smokey's website says they own 100% of their inventory. Streetside does not say one way or the other.

Streetside cars are on consignment. They sold a 37 ford I had in 2005. They advertise any place you find classic car for sale. I think they do a lot better job with pictures now then back in 05.

Smokey Mountain owns their inventory. A friend of mine has sold them 7 or 8 cars over the years.

If you've been looking at their ads, you have undoubtedly noticed that you see the same cars over and over and over and over again. That should tell you something.

In fact, no I didn't notice that…You might be right but I have no idea of what it should "tell" me.

One thing it should tell you is that they're not "original".

Re: "StreetsideClassicCars" & "SmokeyMountainTraders"

I made an offer on one of the cars a few years ago, on the terms the model came with it....

I've heard more than once that a lot of the cars should not have the term "restored" applied to them, as they were nothing more than hodded up shiny pieces of dung.
