2021 Ford Bronco...

Here is the new 2021 Ford Bronco. It appears to be a very capable, modular vehicle. Why is it that GM will never take a change on something like this?? They brought back the Blazer name on some POS soccer mom mobile - what a waste.

Typical update stuff. Too polished. Not enough industrial.

I do like the interior.

I like the front end but the overall look is too "boxy"...

Re: 2021 Ford Bronco...

I kinda like it. It looks like Ford actually set out to make a proper Bronco like the classic EB (Early Bronco to the Chevy folks), not just slap a classic name on a generic SUV or crossover like Chevy did with the new "Blazer". Too bad there's no V8 option though. A Raptor version with 6.2L would be awesome.

Re: 2021 Ford Bronco...

The new Bronco looks pretty nice from first glance....much better than the original! :-) No offense, but I've never been a fan and it totally amazes me what they go for at auctions...crazy money! This new Bronco might have promise. Let's hope it doesn't come with mandatory ESS!

Being a die hard Chevy guy, I was never a fan either. I much prefer the first generation Blazer / Jimmy. In my opinion, it's a far superior truck, in looks, performance and mechanically. However, my 77 Bronco came with my wife, and it's kind of grown on me. The cost and popularity of these things is insane now. What used to be a disposable off road toy is now a collector vehicle. Keep an eye on International Scouts. I'm sure as Broncos and Blazers reach unobtanuim prices more people will be looking at Scouts as an alternative. What is ESS?

Re: 2021 Ford Bronco...

I like the Bronco. It is my understanding Ford is going to create a new division called Bronco.

Unlike the other Broncos, this one has 2 door models, sport models, 4 door models and this is just the start. I can see V-8 models, electrics, hybrids to fill the line.

This will give Jeep a run for their money, Fiat has basically destroyed the Jeep and Ford sees an in.

Yeah, the Blazer. What was the deal back way back when with an S10 Blazer and a full sized Blazer, never made sense to me. The new Blazer is a Traverse isn't it? It looks like one.

Re: 2021 Ford Bronco...

I always loved the early Blazers, though they were considered too big for woodsy traversing by some. The original Bronco had nice ground clearance and impressive approach & departure angles. Ford however was going to dump them for '74 & replace them with a big one like the K5 Blazer. That waited until '78. Damn oil embargo. It was also responsible for Lincoln cancelling a 502 for 1974.

I bought a new vehicle last year and I DID NOT want to jump on the SUV bandwagon. Ended up with a VW Golf All-Track wagon 6-speed manual while I still could. Out of production now.

Re: 2021 Ford Bronco...

I actually dig it.

I'm a die hard Chevy guy too but I've got room in my garage for ANY cool car. I've always liked the early Bronco's, but their prices make them out of reach for a guy looking to put 2 kids through college and retire at an early age.

Here's what I think, all 3 manufacturers have seen sales from retro type vehicles. The Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger. Ford saw a market with the Bronco and in my opinion hit a home run. That being said, I'll never own one because I simply refuse to buy a new car. Prices are just insane.

I think that it will seriously cut into Jeep Wrangler sales.

Re: 2021 Ford Bronco...

There was talk last year of a body on chassis GMC Jimmy based on the Colorado/Canyon line. I wonder if it's still a possibility?

The current Holden Colorado 7/Trailblazer, is built on the Colorado/Canyon line in Thailand and Brazil.

Re: 2021 Ford Bronco...

Gotta make retro stuff cause todays designers can only come up with boring generic junk.

Not sure what Chevys deal is none of their vehicles look great from all angles.

Good to see the Bronco back
