It is mandatory.....right?

When going for a cruise you MUST have all four windows rolled down! Wouldn’t it just be wrong to have any of them up? 😄 I had the weekend to myself so after running the lash, again, took a ride to town just because I could, and is there anything better than sitting at a light right down town with the echo of the exhaust thumping off the buildings drowning out everything else and and everyone looking to see what is making all the racket? Y’all know what I mean! 😁 Nothing like making the modern Mustang convertible sitting at the light on the other side essentially disappear! 😄 Just gotta love the lines of and old school street buggy!

Absolutely. On that topic, what’s with people that have the convertible top down and windows up??? That’s just wrong on all accounts

Maybe it’s the “look at me I’ve got a convertible, too cold to put the top down but I’m doing it anyway” situation. 😁 I suppose it could be the “can’t mess up my hair” syndrome! 😄

X2, Yes. Driving with the windows down is nice on cool days but when it gets too hot, it's "a/c" time!

Re: It is mandatory.....right?

Funny thing is that I've owned several vehicles since the last century with A/C and have only ever turned it on once, and it didn't work on my brand new 99 GMC Z-71 4x4 so it went to the dealer for warranty repair. I don't like AC in a vehicle on a hot day, I'd much rather cruise with the windows down, plus when you get to where you're going you don't have to deal with the shock of getting out of a cool interior and going out to a scorching day. Those kind of temp changes are not healthy.

maybe in Canada the temp doesn't get that high, but when the themomter is sitting at 111*, the ac sure is nice

I must confess it was a little warm, however, having the unobstructed tone from the pipes coming off the pavement (yes they turn down in front of the axle) more than made up for it!

Re: It is mandatory.....right?

The temperature difference from the north to the south is kinda like dog years. 90 degrees to us north folk is the equivalent to the south's 110. Not sure what that has to do with anything.

But I like to cruise with the windows down no matter what the temp is. I don't have much choice either, no AC in the chevelle.

And, I also like listening to the mufflers over the radio too.

Re: It is mandatory.....right?

80's and lower and moderate humidity, I can deal with windows open. Anything hotter/wetter, then the AC is a must. When it's in the 90's with 60%+ humidity, no amount of air flow is going to keep you from being soaked in sweat by the time you get anywhere. And it's unpleasant for anyone that gets near you as well.

Vent windows are a great compromise, that's one of the many beauties of a '69 post sedan.
