What are you guys using for classic car insurance?

I have a '68 Chevelle. Will only be taken out on weekends in the summer. Who are you guys using?

Thanks,

Ryan

I went with Hagerty. My regular Insurance Agent did most of the work. There was some back and forth "justifying" the dollar amount.

I have several cars on American Collector Car Insurance and they’ve been very fair with me over 20 some years! Not real restrictive and you can’t beat the price!

I use Safeco, a Liberty Mutual Company. It does not matter which collector car insurance company you go with, but make sure you get an "Agreed Value Insurance Policy". Google the differences in policy types.

4 cars with Larue and Infinity as the underwriter. All at agreed to value, Larue has proven earned my trust. Compared to Hagerty and saved money yet achieved better coverage benefits and amounts.

Re: What are you guys using for classic car insurance?

I used Hagerty for the first year, second year they quoted a higher premium. Checked with Grundy and got a better rate and I upped the agreed value. I'm now in my second year with Grundy, and no rate increase. I had no trouble with either Hagerty or Grundy on the agreed value I placed. With Hagerty, $45k. Because of some mods/additions with Grundy 50k.

Haggerty.

Tighten it till it strips and back it off a quarter turn.

Re: What are you guys using for classic car insurance?

I have had all mine with Hagerty for years , had a couple of claims and it was painless , they took care of it with no problem . Im about to file another claim as I just realized someone hit my 72 C10 at the last cruise in a couple weeks ago , just paint damage but they will take care of it Im sure .

HI
take photo`s
1/ of all items that are not stock
2/ factory options
3/ general condition of car ie each panel and under body
4/ Id plates and chassis and engine No.
5/ copies of all engineers certificates for any engineering modifications
6/ evidence of alarm and or gps tacker

All above might get u a lower annual premium / excess cost of insurance

State Farm, full coverage, agreed value, no mileage limit. I pay much less for my antiques than I do for my daily drivers.

Grundy's, never had an issue but then again never had a claim. With pictures alone they covered my 68 Ragtop for 60k agreed under $550/year
