Dodge Challenger W/ 6.0 LS...

Not sure why he didn't source a V8 Challenger, then turbo or supercharge that engine.

Gotta love that the Dodge and Ford people think so highly of the GM LS engines to run in their cars. Cannot anyone get their brand engines to make power? Leave it to GM to make others performance dreams come true.

Re: Dodge Challenger W/ 6.0 LS...

I love just about any cool swap. And believe me, I love my HEMIs as well.
The new cool Fox swap is going to be the new 7.0 pushrod Ford truck motor.
And there are TONS of boosted HEMIs as well. My 392 stock has too much torque until 3rd gear, so I'm good with it.
As for 1955... (best named car ever!)

I like the Challengers. I would put an old school 426 Hemi in it

Re: Dodge Challenger W/ 6.0 LS...

The new Hemi has cam issues try and find some aftermarket performance ones.
I have been in Hellcats that put down 750 to the wheels NOT STOCK.
The thing was so ridiculous heavy. I asked my friend driving if that was full throttle or 1/2 throttle when he got on it.

He said Full throttle.
What a let down.

Now his Fox body mustang with 600 wheel HP and an LS was a different beast.
That thing would flat move.
The Mustang Ran 9.1 in the 1/4 with 3.45 rear gear and TH 400 trans. 275-60-15 Nitto drag radials.

My Dodge has Ford rearend and ford front suspension and Chevy power.

Pick whatcha like and go with it.

There are plenty of cams available. Not so much with lifters though They have been on national back order through Chrysler for at least a year and there is only one aftermarket one I will use and now they are on back order

My part time helper works exclusively on those things so I am very familiar with them I have 4 blocks in the shop as we speak.

Yeah, the lifters are cause of dreaded Hemi tick. Soft cams giving trouble. Oil burning at 20k.
Typical chrysler engines.

To be honest, that is about what time and speed I hope to see in mine. For the money, in a new modern car with full warranty and with all the bells and whistles, good handling, and amazing brakes (mine has the 6 pot 15.4") and more toys than most luxury cars, I love it. And the looks, ah the looks.

For the street, it has beyond gobs of power, yeah, no matter what you take to the track, there is always something cheaper and faster there.
As for the modern HEMI, this is my third, I had a 2006, a 2015, and this 2018, only thing ever done to any of them was oil at oil change time. Had the 06 till 90K miles.
