How time flys!

Fifty years ago this month, I went to Sahli Chevrolet in Beaver Falls, Pa. and ordered my 1970 SS 454 ( LS-5-M-22) El Camino. It was built the 2nd. week of March,(Balt.) So far it has been driven by three people, Me & my wife and the guy that drove it of the car hauler in 1970.
It has all the BORN WITH, Sheet metal & Driveline. Now it is " Garage Funiture"....

Re: How time flys!

My El was also built in Baltimore. Was actually one of the criteria for when I was looking. Mine's also garage furniture, but for a different reason - it's in pieces!

The assembly plant's long gone - it's now an Amazon distribution center.

Re: How time flys!

Same here, my brother bought a 1970 Chevelle 2dr. Black with black interior 350 2 bbl. 50 years ago. He could have got a 396 SS car for the same money, no one would touch them as the ins. rates were a sales car killer back then. I ended up with the car in the late 70's fixed it up and sold it, wished I had never sold that car.

That's awesome. I have family in Beaver Falls. (know any Nugents? My uncle was the volunteer Fire Chief for Big Beaver)
I grew up in Penn Hills.
