Call me crazy... but it sure seems like there has been a massive uptick in new members posting. I have landed on several threads recently that look like any other person asking for advice... they read like they are written by someone who frequents the board ... then I glance over to see who it is and see "Post count : 1"

Once or twice...meh. 5, 6, or 7 times and different users, same scenerio... eh.. something doesn't check out here

I dunno... not normally a suspicious guy but with all the AI technology it makes me wonder what creepy web bots are crawling the web. Or are the many owners here being cased? I'm going to find my tin foil.

Edit.... look up the posts by "epicVIN"

I always check their join date also. Some people just visit and keep to themselves I guess.
But I did see a new one yesterday. I think he just joined to try to sell his car in the free classifieds.

Who can fault him for that, only makes good business sense, go to where the buyers are.

Watch out I'm one of those something fishy here😉. I've been reading the forums for awhile and finally decided to join last month. I'm not a big poster. I've been a member on the NECOA (PCH66,re; to previous residency along the Central CA. Coast) for about 7 years and have a low post count. So I will be hanging out with everyone hopefully for many years to come.

Not all of us are robots. I for example only have a few posts. I typically use the search feature instead of posting. That answers my questions 99 percent of the time. Or I keep my mouth shut if I don’t have a real good idea of what I’m talking about.

I’ve learned so much over the years here, and through my own personal experiences while building my car. Lately I’ve been making an effort to contribute to the site more and help others where I can.

Lol.... no offense guys. I apologize. I am glad you are here. No better site for answers in my opinion. It was just an observation and its comforting to know that you are real (sans that epicVIN BOT) and the hobby still thrives.
