Nice.

All we have out here is 91 piss, unless we go to a "specialty" fuel supplier, at least in my area.

I fished in Fl for years. Plenty of 93 no-corn on east coast thru Keys. Plenty of 93 no-corn in eastern NC coastal areas. About $ 3.20/gal currently. Corn and salt water makes a poor mix !

Read stuff here and there on teh web about possibly banning ethanol not sure if its true?
Even the 76 stations that sell 100 unleaded are disappearing.

If you have compression, having good gas and even 2 deg more timing really makes a difference
This hot restart stuff is super annoying, even embarassing. About killed my battery at the last cruise night.

Put a toggle switch on coil, get engine spinning then add fire. Never start w/o oil pressure.

Same way race cars have started for years. Millennials will never figure out how to steal your car ! 😁

Re: ETH FREE 93 octane

We have 93 no ethanol here in northwest Louisiana at maybe 15 cents a gallon less expensive. Fabulous stuff.

Re: ETH FREE 93 octane

OK, So I read this thread but it didn't answer if no-ethenol gas is better for my 396 BBC?
Please respond. If so, I will need to look for this gas locally in Eastern PA

Re: ETH FREE 93 octane

Non-ethanol gas is always much better for carbureted engines. The higher octane stuff (depending upon compression) is recommended. I run 91 ethanol free in my 396. 9:1 compression or so. No problems.

Corn draws water, scrubs fuel tanks and uses fuel lines to transport gum and varnish to your carb/FI, corn produces less HP and less gas (or corn) mileage, corn melts non corn approved fuel lines, gaskets, and misc. plastic/rubber products.

Upside ? Corn gas has made Midwest producers fabulously wealthy.

Re: ETH FREE 93 octane

Ethanol fuel in a vehicle that sits very long with unused fuel is bad for all the reasons that Salty laid out above. I also don't put ethanol fuel in any lawnmower, weed eater, generator . . . yada, yada, yada. Its trouble waiting to happen.

Re: ETH FREE 93 octane

I've run e10 93 for many years with no adverse effects to anything. It runs fine in carbureted automobile engines. Any fuel stored in a fuel tank for extremely long periods of time will result in problems. I do not run ethanol in small engines like weed eaters without stabil.

Your just jealous because you can't hear the voices!

I live in Iowa (major corn producing state) and won't run that crap in anything. Corn's a vegetable. Who the hell thought mixing veggies and gas was a good idea.
