2 car build

Anyone know what it takes to do a legal build with a 2 car build. One has title and one has none. How much of the car needs to be used to retain the vin and title the legal way? Not a clone or SS just a driver.

Re: 2 car build

If you have two cars, then build the one which has a title and use the other one as a parts car…

No too hard in NJ. Plus have not bought the cars yet.

Parts car is a parts car. No way to get that up and going.

Re: 2 car build

Keep the cowl and dash, leave the tags attached, section the body at the A-pillars and as low on the cowl or as far back on the floor as you can get to decent metal, preferrably at a factory seam.

Yeah, but many (most?) states don't care.

My car was rusty, so I swapped in a rust-free frame from a Southern car.

Both cars have bad frames so it will be a build with a tube chassis and 4 link.
