TC Members car???

My wife and I were driving home from Tampa yesterday and seen this 69 at a car wash, my wife wants me to have our car painted similar only in blue and I'm wondering if it's a members car or if anyone knows who owns it because I'd like to get a better look at it, I just had a neck procedure done and didn't want to stop then, thanks if anyone knows

Enquiring minds want to know!

Edit- blew up the picture and it's a different orange on top with some tribal looking stuff in between. Also appears to have slapper bars on the back....?

Re: TC Members car???

She wants to keep the blue we have and put a shade or 2 darker on top the same as the 69, 2 tone blue where the 69 is 2 tone orange? I'm happy with the blue we have now but it could use something to break it up I guess and when she shows interest in the Chevelle it makes me happy so I figure whatever? in less it's something I really don't like

Re: TC Members car???

Maybe show your wife a picture of a 68 Chevelle with a white vinyl top* and dark blue paint like yours to see what she thinks.A vinyl top might be better compromise than a 2 tone custom paint job, unless that's what you want.

Re: TC Members car???

Vinyl tops a great idea but I think she's liking the restomod thing, I don't go for the no side wall tires either, she lost interest after the body shop prison (X2) but seems to be getting interested again so I'm thinking whatever she wants as long as it's not bad

Re: TC Members car???

I also think her giving an opinion and being interested again is worth getting it repainted, even if she gets tired of it or don't like it when it's done what the heck I can always have it painted again later, I'm just happy she's showing interest again

Re: TC Members car???

I have slapper bars too but they're black so pretty hard to see them, they used to be yellow and one of the things she asked when I was talking to her about red/black color options for suspension parts she asked please don't make it look like a clown car, so black underneath my old restaurant remodeling boss always said "paint it black and it'll disappear" lol, I'll be doing the engine and putting a/c in before the paint and that'll be plenty of time to find a GOOD paint shop, probably get some screw ups from the other body guys fixed too
