Re: New Season of OverHaulin' (Season 10)

As a TV cord cutter I don't see these shows. I am getting into the YouTubers like Thunderhead289, Junkyarddigs, Vice Grip Garage and others. These are people like us, working on stuff, and having fun.

Yes. So what? Do you realize that builders do what customers want, sometimes? I bet there are more people that saw that car on the show or in person that liked it, than those that don't. You not liking it means nothing to me.

Your like/donít like is a little off and also the customer gave him free reign on this one.

I think you can stream just about everything that shows on Motor Trend TV.

Re: New Season of OverHaulin' (Season 10)

I got foosed out a LONG time ago. Been watching more you-tube videos than anything lately. Same ones as mentioned above. Those guys are "real" and no drama involved.

Anyone else watch EnglesCoachShop on you-tube? He does horse-drawn wagon restoration and is amazing at what he can do!

Hey, it's still all about horsepower and wheels. I love it.....

When I works, I works hard.
When I sits, I sits loose.
When I thinks, I falls asleep.

I was driving through rural Pennsylvania a few years ago. Off the side of the main highway I noticed two Amish boys racing each other. With horse drawn wagons.

With the exception of this 68 that Kindig clearly lost sight of what a good looking custom looks like, their work has been much better than what has been done on Overhaulin.
The main reason for the difference is overhaulin is supposedly a 7 day build while Kindig takes years sometimes.Fantomworks builds are nowhere near Overhaulin and Kindig's level of customization,
being just slightly above what a neophyte could do out of their garage.

Jonathan , not sure when or if the Suburban will get in line . We have so many in line now to build . Still waiting on my 70 short step to come home from Knoxville , having rust repair and paint blending done , then we will blow it apart and build it from the ground up wit LS Drivetrain , Patina paint .

Re: New Season of OverHaulin' (Season 10)

Speaking of you-tube, I just discovered Iron Trap Garage. If you like patina'd 1930s-40s Ford hot rods (and I don't mean rat rods), this young guy has quite a shop going. He does a lot of picking, auctions, barn-finds and such, and gets those old Fords back on the road, 60's hot rod-style.

Check it out!

Re: New Season of OverHaulin' (Season 10)

yes, some do look nice. I think the majority of the show's tend to be the pro touring / slammed / resto mod look. I would like to see more of a stock build once in awhile. Graveyard Cars is good for that, but they just build Mopar. How about a Chevelle TV series. i'm pretty sure it's a popular car.

In another 40-50 years the current crop of 60’s muscle cars will rat rodded or what ever they will call it then. It is an interesting to think about, no doubt the internal combustion engine will be long gone for electric motors by then. What other styling or functional things will be added then. I suspect something with a driverless function will be very normal by then. Fun to think about all the same.

Life is too short for caring about every bodies else's stuff
