okay, call me a idiot! another project car!

sometimes I really think I'm going insane.
found a 70 el camino on craigslist the other day, yes it's a project, how else do I buy cars? I'm going to explain to my wife I bought parts for the chevelle but they would only sell the whole car. it's got slotted rotors, 1.25 front sway bar, tubular a arms with in think the viking type coil overs.
350 th350 that is complete with a rpm intake holley carb etc but I didnt feel like rigging it to start. trashed interior
9 inch rear with strange s/s axles set up as a 4 link which is getting pulled for either a 12 or a 10 bolt.
the 9 inch has the big filler bung on top, the cross brace, seller said the guys that put it in originally spent $$ on the rear so hopefully I can get some cash back from it.
guys dropping it off tomorrow, so pics are coming.
floors and beds rust free. flat hood. jim

Re: okay, call me a idiot! another project car!

So what are your plans for this one. Just tinker with and swap some parts around then sell it? Or maybe trade it for something else?

Pfft....there's nothing idiotic about that...that seems like a sweet deal.

Good grab.

I'm anxious for the pics.

Sounds good, Jim.
Any car I ever got that was "rust free" meant that the rust was included at no extra charge.

Showed my wife a snapshot of it, she actually said not bad! Not really sure what the plan is. I usually go into these things without one. Just go out and start boting the thing back together. Next thing you know, you have a driving car in a month or two.
Big block 4 speed 12 bolt posi with bucket seats might be cool, too bad I sold my last console and ralley wheels. Jim

Re: okay, call me a idiot! another project car!

$2000....I think you could probably part it out and get your money back....but it sounds like the potential for a really nice "Driver". Keep taking the dogs for a walk and you probably will find a lot of stuff you can use.(I Kid) Seriously don't you have a BB without a home as we speak.

Ideas are like children: there are none so wonderful as your own.

Ok, you're an idiot. But aren't we all? Looks like a good score, your wife is much more accommodating than mine.
