David Vizard - where have I been the last 3 months??

Hi guys,

Not to sure if this is the right place for this post butg here goes anyway.

Regardless of whether anyone missed me or not I thought a short post as to why I have been absent from this site for the last 3 months.

Well this is how things went down.

It was April 12rh and the first day of one of my three day power production seminars. About an hour and a half before the official 5 pm finish my partner - Marvin Burke - took me by the arm and said -" David, you are looking a bit peaky - go and lie down I will finish off today's presentation".

With that he lead me to the door and that was the last thing I remember before waking up strpped to an operating table snd being prepped for emergency brain surgery.

Turns out that for about 2 hours things could have gone either way. After the op I was in the IC unit for 21 days.

Well I am not so good at just lying still and relaxing even if I am in an IC unit.At a much lower level than either Steven Hawking or Albert Einstein I had to content myself with mental experiments. One of the things that I worked on for hours and hours was how to prove the effectiveness of my cam selection program makes it about the best there is. After a while I realized I could use some of the properties of 'quantum mechanics' to do this.

Since I am new to this site I don't suppose that many of you are aware that I have been working on an effective cam/engine build program TorqueMaster for over twenty years. Also in the last 5 years I have developed a a flow bench program that will school users to F1 level.

I have done a couple of videos that explain this flow program which can be seen at:-
for part 1 and:-
.

If there are any pro or semi pro head porters reading this PM me and I will send you a free copy.

Just for the record anyone attending the Race Engine Challenge in Charlotte as a spectator :-https://raceenginechallenge.com/
will get both the porting program and the cam selection program free.

OK guys enough typing here - my head is spinning!!

Before the internet was a thing his books were alright for new folks looking to learn about the trade, I myself have read a few of them. This strange post out of no where is kinda weird, I guess he's looking to reboot his stuff and make a little more money, nothing wrong with that though. Good luck dude.

DITTO. Welcome back David!

While I am *somewhat* numerate, it was beyond my comprehension at first blush. Will try again.

Re: David Vizard - where have I been the last 3 months??

Is it inappropriate to ask what the problem was ? At my age I'm on the lookout for anything and everything that might be averted. Sounds like this snuck up on you.

I read that book shown on the previous post and it's great. Rebuilt my engine from that book and it runs as sweet as a well oiled sewing machine. Very understandable and filled with interesting information on the various ports and valves and heads, charts, year built, you name it. If Dave makes any money off that book he deserves every penny. It's thanks to people like him guys like me can do it themselves. Unlike so many other newer sponsored books filled with plugs for the sponsors products and making the task so complicated looking you just give up on doing it yourself. Thanks Dave, hope your on the mend and back at it with full force.
