Kind of sad

Looks like my fathful friend will be going to it's new home in Texas in a couple of weeks, the proceeds will be going towards our new house project. I'll be in search of another"66" in the distant future. I'm sure the new owner will enjoy the car as much as I did.

Re: Kind of sad

VERY sad. Iím lucky, in that Iíve never HAD TO sell a toy, but I have grown tired of plenty of them and often miss them when theyíre gone. I hope youíre able to fill its space with something nice when youíre ready.

That's a tough decision to have to make. She's a real beauty too. NOt sure I could do it at this time in life. It's my best friend and never gives me too much grief, only pleasure. Gives me something to do, which I need at times.
But, it is what it is and life moves on. Best of luck with the new plans and you will find another.

Re: Kind of sad

It is sad, seeing such a beautiful Chevelle go by by.

I may have to sell my Chevelles in the future to pay bills.

Beautiful '66.....

Love those bumper guards and doggie caps. Hopefully the new owner is or will be a member here.

Re: Kind of sad

Wow, Don, that thing is a beauty! Sorry to read you're back in limbo on the sale. Hard enough to think you're parting ways with it, then possibly back to square one. Wish I had the cash & no project of my own...

Yeah, we're runnin' a little bit hot tonight,
I can barely see the road from the heat comin' off,
You know what I'm sayin',
Ahh, you reach down, put it between my legs 'n
ease the seat back,
She's runnin', I'm flyin',
Right behind in the rear view mirror now,
Got the fearin', power steerin',
Pistons poppin', ain't no stoppin' now,
PANAMA!

Well the deal did go through, I'm sure the new owner will enjoy the car as much as I did. Everytime I went for a ride I was 18 again, once the new house is up and running I'll be on the hunt again.

Re: Kind of sad

A 327 and a clutch pedal... what's not to love? Congratulations on getting the deal done, Don. As sad as it is, there will be another.

Re: Kind of sad

I had to sell my first '69 in January of 1994 when I was a flat broke, College Student.

In March of 2009, 15 years later, I was finally able to buy a replacement....which is what I have now.

My current '69 Malibu is SO much nicer and better than my first Chevelle it was almost worth being forced to sell the first one.

Almost.

There's a LOT of 64-72 A Bodies out there. When the time is right, you'll find another.

'69 Malibu 383/TCI TH350/8.2 3.36 Eaton Posi. Street Edge 10" 2800, E-Tec 170s, Custom Mike Jones HR Cam, RPM Air-Gap, StreetAvenger 770, Pertronix HEI, Hedman 1 5/8" Headers, Moser Axles, PMT 1320R Kit. [email protected] 111 MPH, 1.6865 60 ft, Nitto 555
