Burma Shave

This is what I remember as a kid going through the midwest to good old Iowa. Of course it was the 2 lane blacktop back then or even dirt.
Some of you older guys I'm sure, remember these.
Who's got one?

Does your husband
Misbehave
Grunt and grumble
Rant and rave?
Shoot the brute some

From my drag racing days:
Want a launch that's all the rave?
Fill your slicks with BurmaShave

Or something like that.

A man
A miss
A car
A curve
He kissed the miss
And missed the curve.

Re: Burma Shave

Boyd, not so long ago there were several of those signs still standing proud just over the hill from you around Walden. Highway 125 maybe. Seems like there were some on highway 230 heading up to Saratoga. Can't remember what they said. Maybe it's been longer than I thought...

Witty advertising like that is a thing of the past.

Gillette guy here in spite of my disdain for the New England Patriots.

Pepsodent.

Do you think that Bucky Beaver actually used Ipana toothpaste? Or was it just hype?
