Dual clutch? I heard they only had automatics.

The only reason someone would want insurance is if they want to pay someone elses bills or want someone else to pay their bills.

BIGOT is a word used by people that can't use logical reasoning to prove that you are wrong when you don't agree with them.

It's a dual clutch automatic. Hopefully much better than the Ford one they've been putting in Fiestas and focuses.

It eliminates the torque converter

Wow, that’s actually pleasing to look at. They’re finally starting to get it, lol.

Base car 0-60 less than 3 seconds for under $60k. Game changer. The black one with silver stripes looks killer.

Well that sucks. I am still an old die hard " if it's a performance car it must be a manual trans car" type of guy. Can't really say I would be in the market for a 2020 Corvette anyway so they could most likely care less what guys like me think.

I'm pleasantly surprised and impressed. Dual clutch transmission is a welcome upgrade as many of the C-7 8-speed owners will agree with. Base price under $60,000 too!

Re: 2020 C8 Mid Engine Vette

I'm one of the many that hated the departure from the traditional signature round Corvette tail lights on the C7. The whole tail is horrible.

While the C8 retains horizontal tail lights, they're a lot better. I also like the return to having tail pipes extreme left & right instead of all centered.

I'd still prefer round tail lights but I feel the rear end of the C8 is much better than the C7.

Re: 2020 C8 Mid Engine Vette

I'm a bit surprised that it's "automatic only". I would think that a lot of corvette buyers would prefer a clutch pedal.

Isn't that for the Z06?

Still, 500 HP for under 60K.

Plus I'll bet we see a hybrid version with AWD at some point.

As usual, Andy is right
If it doesn't fit, force it. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway.

I have to keep reminding myself this isn't a Z16 convertible, Evening Orchid Camaro, or factory 1966 SS427 and get on with it.

The under 0-60 of 3 seconds was announced as equipped with the Z51 option, which is the same LT2 engine with performance exhaust, different gearing, electronic diff, bigger brakes, etc.

Funny that you should say that...After the "Dog And Pony Show" was over, my Wife asked me if I was interested at less than 60k(cough cough) I said, only if it was a stick and 60k was probably going to be a pretty "Bare Bones" version....more like 80-90k before you got it out the door....No Thanks.... I'll keep what I have and this time next year, I still won't be any more in "Debt" than I am today.

Ideas are like children: there are none so wonderful as your own.
