Re: New toy

Nice build, Have you fired it yet?.. I believe it's the ammo that would get scarce if anything like the 22 did a couple years ago.

Hi Drew
good to see another Chevelle guy from Canada on here

There are a lot of Semi-Auto Rifles that are not Restricted ( PALs ) and look nothing like Hunting Rifles
in the .308 / 7.62x39mm / 9mm / .223/5.56x45mm / Calibre but all their Mags are Restricted/Pined to/for 5 Rounds
Here are a few:

I believe that the AR15 was moved/put on the Prohibited list by the RCMP years ago just because of it's Military looks !?

Took it out a few weeks ago with the MBUS sights to 100 yards, had some failure to chamber issues with xm855 ammo. Brought it home took it apart and removed the o ring on the extractor, cleaned, oiled and reassembled so far so good. Last Sunday we took a bunch of toys out. Sighted in the new scope, only put a couple of different types of ammo through it. Seems to like the xm193 enough but I'd like to try a few more brands/weights.

Re: New toy

I think a variety and diversification in Bench Racing is just fine. I've posted some of my guns in the past without being chastised.

BS. You are a LIAR. I did NO such thing.

I told you to ask another mod if I was the one who closed that thread if you didn't believe me - obviously you did not do so.

Kiss off.

Re: New toy

I think variety or diversification in Bench Racing is just fine also. There has to be a 'catch all' option somewhere. I am not big into guns but do enjoy some of the threads, especially regarding vintage stuff. If I am just looking for gun info this is probably not a site i visit. Same with politics. Just one sides view doesnt really get my interest. So would go to another site for that. But do enjoy the sharing of all sorts of non-car stuff that have been posted. And if I am not interested in a post, I move on. No big deal.

Dave didn't close that thread, I closed it after 113 posts of BS bickering.
It had gone far enough down hill, too far in fact.

Dave posted in the thread 36 minutes after I closed it.

One of the disadvantages of being a mod, we can post in a closed thread without knowing it is closed.

Re: New toy

Bumping the "gun forum" back to the top
just kidding, just kidding.

Speaking of the thread that I closed;

Look we all have our differences with some of our opinions about certain things but it's downright silly for Chevelle brethren to fight and argue back and forth on this forum trying to change another person's opinion.

With 87,330 members now, we all need to get along and just ignore those that we don't agree with about some things.

Back to the dang guns.

Kirk,

If you’re ever down my way let me know.
Pickering.

And ya...I’m certian the ar15 isn’t prohibited.
I’ve owned a couple, lol and sold once my
LS swap overshot lol.

they make .22 that look like the AR.
frig, even paint ball and air soft.
It’s crazy out there.

End of the day it’s not the gun. It’s the butt head shooting it.
And things like that happened in New Zealand..still would of happened if they
Had the AR banned...
He still could of used shot guns. Hunting
Rifles...etc.

The world is a messed up place
