Really enjoy Rye whiskey myself Bulleit, Templeton, ect but sip on Jim Beam Black often. Bought a couple scotches for grins. Surprisingly Steadmans select from Walmart is really smooth and cheap. It's a 3 year Kentucky bourbon.

The Elijah Craig Single Barrel Select store picks around here are phenomenal, very smooth and you can't beat the price. If you can handle the high proof stuff, the Elijah Craig Barrel Strength coming in at 130 something proof is really good.....and it lasts longer too !

Re: Bourbon Drinkers ?

Last time I drank “fancy” bourbon it was Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve. That was some good stuff. I’m more of a single malt scotch guy.

My father tells me I was born 30 years too late.

Re: Bourbon Drinkers ?

here's our stills at work.

left is rum, back right gin /whiskey, front right vodkas.

last is part of the barrel house. We don't put out a large volume but its all high quality stuff AND since we are a brewery too we make all our own wash to distill from. Very few craft distilleries can do it start to finish

Re: Bourbon Drinkers ?

I enjoy Bourban every now and then but I am the type that finds information from someone who knows what they are doing and buy that one. I just polished off a bottle of Maker's Mark that has been on my shelf since 2011 Chevellabration. Drives me nuts that the bottle I bought in Kentucky for $9.00 is $45.00 on the shelf here. Next year we are going to Tennessee. Time to refill my stock using advice from here.

Hi Sebert.

Love a good bourbon and will be partaking in a few tonight!
In the meantime, here's a recent pic of your former Chevelle.
Still going strong in Australia.

I did, in a moment of weakness, but bought it back about a year later.

Re: Bourbon Drinkers ?

I've been going back and forth between "1792 small batch" and Makers Mark.

Open to suggestions.

I think Jim Tom is unemployed and could use a job.
