You can loose it with the Civil Forfeiture Law.

Re: Never Drive While In Possession Of Cash

I didn't watch the vid but I sometimes get paid in cash for new a/c installs and only once worried about carrying about $4500 cash and that was stopping at a conv. store and after saying loudly EXCUSE ME to get passed the big African American guy blocking the doorway that I still had to push through and I GOT a dirty look so I could buy a gatoraid (I wasn't carrying protection) and I'm getting too old for that stuff

Steve Lehto lives in my area and I watch most of his videos. I saw that one a while back and it seems to be true what the cops are doing all over the country. He puts out a daily 15 - 20 minute video on something to do with the law.

FWIW - He has written several car and true crime books and they are well written. He does respond to all of the "E" mails you send to him......

Republican or democrat, far left, far right, government in this country is a cesspool of human life.

Whereas, I do not agree with the CF laws, who carries tens of thousands of dollars in cash? "I was gonna buy a house." Sure, I buy that. NOT!

Used car dealers going to auctions do. They also carry protection.

The only reason someone would want insurance is if they want to pay someone elses bills or want someone else to pay their bills.

BIGOT is a word used by people that can't use logical reasoning to prove that you are wrong when you don't agree with them.

Re: Never Drive While In Possession Of Cash

Scary. Didn't know about this. I very seldom travel with large sums of cash, but did when I bought the Chevelle in my profile pic. I actually felt safer after the car was on the trailer and the cash was with the seller.

When I works, I works hard.
When I sits, I sits loose.
When I thinks, I falls asleep.

They do? All the dealers I know carry bank drafts. Me and my 2 brothers have been known to carry cash for private party car deals.

Your just jealous because you can't hear the voices!

Re: Never Drive While In Possession Of Cash

Using cash keeps big brother from being able to follow you and see what you are doing. Can't have that.

Thanx for posting that. We sometimes confuse the bad guy, they don't necessarily wear black or sneak up from behind.

Civil Forfeiture laws have been badly abused from the first day they were enacted.

Re: Never Drive While In Possession Of Cash

I've known of one guy that drove with $10,000.00 cash to buy a 70 Chevelle.
IF he had gotten stopped for no license tag illuminating light, it would have been gone.
(the reason I posted this)

Several years ago a fella club member came to my house to try and buy my 69 for his girlfriend (he already had a 69 but wanted another one).

The console in the one he was driving was stacked all the way to the brim with cash and he offered me the whole stack for my 69 (which I declined).

Later his girlfriend called me wanting to sell all of his Chevelle collection she said because he was in prison for transporting drugs from Mexico.
I had been wondering about him going to Mexico so many times.

Never heard from them since.
