Duramax Powered Chevelle.

How about a Duramax powered Chevelle? TWIN TURBO 600HP & 1100TQ. I don't get it but it is cool in it's own way. Guess you could roll coal in your Chevelle.

Re: Duramax Powered Chevelle.

But cheaper than a drag pac car. Neat custom. I dont know what to make of it, yet the cool thing about a build like that is you can lay down stupid trak times, and get 20+ with the right gearing and cruise tune @70 mph. Turbo ECU controlled rat would be similar. BTW, dont hit those corners too hard! Gott aweigh a half ton.

Re: Duramax Powered Chevelle.

At least itís been to the track and the owner was willing to tell itís times. Big MPH for the ET is about right, you will not get traction with those tires. This is a show car, not a race or track car. Itís designed to draw a crowd when the hood is up, thatís it.

Re: Duramax Powered Chevelle.

A few years back a guy had a Duramax in a Mustang on drag week ran 9's & got about 30 mpg highway.

Re: Duramax Powered Chevelle.

There is a green 68 or 69 around here that is diesel powered. When I saw it, it was covered in bugs. He just came from Woodward. He wouldn't open the hood, said it was too dirty. It came in the cruise night rattling away like a typical diesel.

LOL, sounds like it by description, doesnít it. I was intrigued by it, just wanted to see the build.

I actually hate diesels, the smell almost makes me sick. And ďrolling coalĒ, or anything with the massive diesel smoke show, does absolutely nothing for me. If they could clean up the emissions, and have the performance, then Iíd be impressed. Rant over.
