True!
I've seen survivor cars. Super nice ones too. Fit and finish and paint were sometimes surprisingly bad. I've seen blotches, runs, thin spots, etc.
Many people forget that these were cranked out of a mass production type factory built by many sets of hands. There are going to be some clinkers that get all the way through production.

I ordered a new 1973 Firebird, and when it came, I rejected it because of the horrible paint and
dents in the body ..... The dealer put it on the lot, and some idiot actually bought it ....

That was interesting listening to the GM workers talking while they showed the Pinto assembly line in the background. Thanks for posting it....

They said in the beginning GM wouldn’t allow them to film in their plant, so they used other footage ....
