1968 and 1969 Wagons are very similar, as you can see in the examples below. During the years of 68 and 69, Chevelle wagons were only available in 4 door versions. They could be ordered with just about any option a person could desire. In 68 the wagon along with it's cousin Chevelle, received a body design change.
In 1968 the Chevelle 300 Deluxe model was dropped and the low end model was replaced with the Nomad and Nomad Custom. Which for most people was a disappointment because the name Nomad was synonymous with Chevy's earlier version of the 2 door wagon. The name Nomad is well known and much loved, if they were not going to produce a 2 door version they could have at least use the Nomad name for the high end model.

In 1969 the Nomad Custom was not offered and the Greenbrier was added to the line up. The Greenbrier became the mid-range model. It did not get the deluxe interior and frills like the higher end wagons. The Malibu wagon was dropped and filling it's place was the Concours, because now the Concours Estate wagon was added and became the top model and only available with an 8 cylinder. It was dressed in wood grain siding. The Concours and Concours Estate models were only offered with either a rear storage compartment or third, rear facing, rear seat.

Betty Johnson's 69 Concours Estate Wagon;
This beauty is owned by Betty Johnson. It is an original California and Arizona car. She purchased it after it did not meet the reserve price at the 2002 Barrett-Jackson Auction. She wanted a spare car and I found this for her. It is now garaged in Sugar Hill, GA. The wagon went thru a complete frame off restoration with the frame powder coated. It is as original from the factory. Including protect-o-plate, VIN sheet, pre-delivery service and adjustment check sheet, most of the registration cards from California, original owners manual in the plastic cover and a reproduction window sticker. It has the 350/350 with all the available options except power door locks and third seat. Attracts the most attention of any vehicle she has ever driven. A real head turner, especially to Harley riders.

Mike Shostle's 69 wagon;
Here's one of Mike's wagons. This is his completely restored 1969 Concours wagon. Custom shaved door handles & locks, fresh 2001 VW silver paint with a touch of pearl, Full custom two color leather interior, bucket seats, new bumpers, grill, weatherstripping, dual exhaust with flowmaster. P/Db, P/S, factory tinted glass, custom tinted glass, P/RW, tilt, custom dash bezel & restored gauges. New Big Block suspension. 1967 Chevelle 10 bolt rear end. (1 3/4"s narrower than stock 1969). New tires with 15x8 centerline wheels rolling on 255/70/15 cobras on the rear & 14x6 wheels with 225/60/14 on the front. Lowered 3" all the way around. Engine is the original 350/350 but soon to be replaced with a 402/400 with 450 HP. This is a well done custom job. The rear side windows are filled in like the old panel wagons. This 9 passenger wagon has a solid lifter 454 and 3.73 gears.
