Jim is a retired "steering engineering supervisor" in the Product Engineering Department at Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems (formerly Saginaw Steering Gear Div., GMC). This after working there for 38 years as an engineer. (some other papers that he has written can be found at the www.corvettefaq.com web site)
For those that may not know; Saginaw was responsible for engineering and manufacturing of tilt columns, energy absorbing steering columns, manual and power steering gear boxes, and power steering pumps for all Chevelles.
