I assembled the freshly powdercoated frame in the bodyshop. I sandblasted and painted every nut, bolt, and washer. The frame was sandblasted before powdercoating. This is the closest picture I took. The finish is pretty strong, as I assembled the frame nothing chipped under my hamfisted wrenching! Bodyman reminds me to stick to mechanics, not autobody.

I gave the powdercoater the bare frame, spindles, and bare front control arms(4 of them). They sandblasted the parts for me and powdercoated them. The frame was $700 including pickup and delivery. The spindles and control arms total cost was $100. The powdercoater gave me a bulk discount as I dropped off everything I needed to get powdercoated at once. I guess its cheaper than dropping off odds and ends here and there. I'm blacking out all the chrome on the car, so the bumpers, door handles, mirrors, all chrome trim, and other chrome parts were powdercoated.
