Art Carr (The REAL Art Carr of California Performance Transmissions) who has done some 15 "Overhaulin\'" shows in his shop invited me to accompany him to the current Overhaulin\' filming location. Art supplied the 2004R transmission that is in my 72 Chavelle and with which I am very happy.
Because we were unable to leave his shop until nearly noon we arrived at the location at lunch time. Upon seeing us the crew cordially invited us to have lunch with them which we did. They are a particularly friendly and hospitable group.
After lunch they all got back to work and I was able to snap a couple quick photos for which I am very grateful to Art , Chip Foose and Chris the fellow on the left. Chris is the guy who, variously , acts as a policeman or a junk yard employee etc to trick the person who\'s car has been "stolen" by the Overhaulin\' crew.
Chip Foose as many of you know is the guy who does the final paint/body work on each car and comes up with the incredibly beautiful final product every time they finish a car.
The first picture is of Chip Foose doing a artistic rendering of the car that is being worked on at the moment.
I didn\'t include a picture of the car being overhauled because I don\'t want to be the guy that does a premature "reveal". Not my job.
All in all it was a very gratifying experience for which I cannot thank Art Carr of "California Performance Transmissions enough".
From left to right its : Chris, myself , Chip and Art.
