Personal type Stuff
Well, Al. What kind of cars did (do) you own?
It all started with a 54 Chev, Bel-Air, 6 auto. I still have nightmares.
- '65 Nova SS. Factory 327-300 Hp, 4 speed, posi, tach, gauges
etc.. My first love.
Last I heard it was in Kelowna. I want
it back.
- 68 Plymouth GTX, 383 with 10000# torque, good tire fryer.
- 67 RS-SS Camaro, 4 speed.
- 68 Firebird, 350 "all done up", good car, fast.
The guy I sold it to rolled it on the first corner.
- 76 Formula Firebird, what happened? Not near the car the 68
was.
- 70 Corvette 350-350 Hp, 4 speed. Beautiful. Can you say
"baby", well, good-bye Vette.
- 69 SS Camaro, 350, this was a fixer-upper that I let someone
with bigger dreams fix up.
- 66 Pontiac Parisienne, Huge boat, but it was packing a factory
396 and turbo 400.
- 70 Nova SS, 350-300 Hp, 4 speed. A mouse died in the headliner,
whew!
- 67 Chevelle SS396 auto, it even came with a 427 in the trunk.
The start of it all.
- 67 Malibu, 327-4 speed, buckets, console, Gold and more gold.
- 67 Malibu 327-auto, buckets, console, air, Nantucket blue
with Black vinyl top.
- 67 Chevelle SS396-350 Hp, 4 speed Convertible. Gold with black
buckets and console.
- 67 El/Camino, 327, auto, air, tach, tilt, gauges, loaded.
Maroon with black bench.
- 67 Malibu, 283, auto, black with black buckets.
- 67 Chevelle, 4 door, hey, it was clean.
- 66 Chevelle, bought for parts, wow! Almost nothing off a 66
fits a 67, really! A little different.
- 63 Impala, 327 auto, factory air, 60,000 miles. White with
Blue interior. Great cruiser.
- 67 Malibu, 283, auto, Emerald Turquoise with black interior.
40,000 original miles,
- 67 Chevelle SS396-325 Hp, Convertible, 3 spd. Auto, heavily optioned,
matching everything.
The Current Fleet:
- The SS396 mentioned above....sshhh! .... currently sleeping in rickety old garage.
- '86 Buick Collectors Edition. huh? Well, the best I can figure is that the crew at the factory simply bolted on everything they had as these cars came down the assembly line. From 8 way power seats to factory aluminum mags... comfy road pig.
- '83 Camaro, V-6 5 speed, Black. My daughters car. Want some free advice? Teach your kid(s) to learn to drive on a standard, then they are set for life.
- '81 GMC 3/4 ton 4X4. 350 from 69 camaro.... needs the extra power because it has a full swivel hydraulic snow blade on the front... ( I hate shoveling snow! ).
- '86 Chev heavy 1/2 ton pickup. Air, tilt, cruise, pwindows and all the rallye options. Nice truck for swap meeting.
- '94 Z/28 Camaro. 350 injected, 6 speed, glass t-tops, air, tilt, tach, pwindows, pseats, cruise etc. GM scored a winner with this one. Damn fast and fun to drive too! Green/Blue in color.... should be a real treat to color match someday.
That about does it for vehicles that are interesting, lots of
others have come and gone, both small and big blocks, but I wouldn't
want too many people to know what a sucker I am for junk, so I
won't mention the boo-boos.
