1968 Chevelle
Marty tells us:
This is a picture of my brother, David's, '68 Chevelle Malibu. He has
owned it for over twenty years.(68 Chevelles seem to run in the family, we
have three.) We both live in the Tidewater, Va. area.
This is one serious machine for the strip or show. Some of the goodies include;
An original 454-450hp LS-6 with roller rockers topped off with a Holley 850
double pumper carb. The ignition system is MSD.
The drive train features a TH-400 tranny w/4:11 gears and a 12 bolt
posi-traction rear end. That off-the-line kick is provided by a B&M Mega shifter with a
"Hole Shot"2000 stall converter. The GM wheel hop has been remedied with Hopstop Bars.
With the battery and fuel cell in the trunk and poly graphite bushings all the way
round, this is truly a great car for those "with the need for speed".
When my brother and I get our '68 Chevelles together, the ground literally shakes.
