Default Is there more than one booster choice??

Is the booster for power drum different than for power disc? The reason I ask is the push rod (to pedal) on the booster I got from the auto supply is too short to reach my brake pedal when it is at rest on the rubber stop. It had manual drum before. In order to thread into the rod, the pedal is a good 1" off the rubber. Do I need use a disc brake car's pedal assy - is it somehow shaped different? The pedal arms don't interchange they're bent different- I'd have to get the whole under-column assy. I'm about to fabricate a new, longer swivel piece to thread the push rod into. There goes those show points again!

Just went through this earlier this spring. The brake pedal won't come close to the rubber stop like the manual brakes did, GM put a small metal "extension" in the top hole of the brake pedal to extend out to hit the stop light switch. I have no idea where to find one other than a junk yard.

Don't you want the brake pedal to rest on the rubber stop?? I can adjust the switch, it's the arm suspended (all likely pulling on the rod) that I'm concerned about. I'm about to fabricate a longer pedal to pushrod connector to allow it to rest on the stop.
