Default Backing plates xref

I am in the processing of putting front disc on my son's Chevelle and the backing plates off the donor are trash. Should the 69-72 Chevelle/Camaro/Monte, etc all be the same? I have a line on some '69 Camaro on ebay and wonder why those wouldn't work fine. You'd think if they fit Camaro and A-bodies, they'd say so but don't. I looked online at Year One and they show the same part number for both. Hoping for the voice of experience to set me straight. I don't want to buy them and have to send them back if they don't fit if I dont' have to. Thanks.

I just put disc brakes on my -69 Chevelle, using -69 Camaro backing plates and caliper brackets. They seem to be identical to Chevelle parts, and any GM 69-72 A-body backing plate should interchange as well.

We cant place an ad here so I cant tell you that I have my stocker originals (off of my 70SS), repainted with Eastwood silver (I forget the actual paint code and color, but lists as being for backing plates on their site) that I am not going to use when I rebuild as I am going to run Vette brakes up front.

I cant tell you that if your purchase doesnt work out to contact me via a PM on this board.....so I wont.
