does anyone know if you can use an 80's monte carlo front spindle set up on a 67and 69 chevelle from drums to disc. i have the monte and the spindles look to be the same but before i take both cars part to swap i thought i would ask you guys ....... Thanks Tom

Yes, they can be made to work but why? There is no advantage to running them. They use smaller discs than the stock 60's-70-s "A" body and the steering arm is going to induce all sorts of bumpsteer besides the reduced turning radius. They are almost the same the height so you get no negative camber gain. A total waste of time and capital.

Best bang for the buck is True Connections disc conversion---I believe it runs 450ish. Junkyard route is getting more and more difficult as direct swap donors are disappearing. Check ebay for a bolt on conversion, I've seen half-wa decent looking set-ups for a few hundred bucks.
Keep in mind that if you do find a "steal" at the local wrecker you probably need calipers, for sure need pads, seals, bearings etc... it adds up quick. My junkyard brakes ran a little over 700.00 total just for the fronts.

I have a set of 71 el camino disc brakes that I changed out for drop spindles if your interested .
