Default Disk Brake Conversion - 2 Birds with 1 stone?

Well I finally got some disk brakes off of ebay. They came from a 71 Cutlass. I'm hoping I won't have to make major modifications to them to fit my 69 malibu. I'm taking them this week to get sandblasted and I'll order the additional parts I need.

My question is, what else can I do while I'm in there? I want to upgrade my suspension - can I save time by doing it now?

It's all stock at the moment and I'll be converting it to a pro-touring car as I go.

New coil overs and a sway bar maybe? I'm new at this and am learning little by little.

If it were me, I'd replace the upper and lower control arm bushings with poly bushings, and either put coil overs in or some performance lowering springs. All other suspension upgrades don't require taking the spring out. So if you can, kill 2 birds
