Will a disc brake set-up from a 1972 chevelle fit into a 1965 chevelle.

Yes. You will need the proportioning valve, booster and master cylinder also. If you pull the set-up yourself, take the little brackets that hold the end of the flex hose to the frame.

Let me get this 100% right take a 72 chevelle spindle w/brake set up , booster and master cylinder add proporting valve and it will properly work ?? or must you worry about clearance of header because of adding shims to get caster & camber. Sorry if I sound stupid

Claw, the only reason to add shims is if the spindle is taller. Which I do not think it is.

No extra shims are necessary, The spindles are exactly the same height.

The ball joints are the same from 64-72 and the tie rod ends are the same from 64-70.

You'd be stupid if you went ahead with no idea of what works. But asking proves that you are not. You may be ignorant about certain things but once you've done the swap you will no longer be ignorant of the facts. Then you can help someone else. Thats why we are all here.
