My daughters 300mhz AMD Abit MB computer has bit the dust. I think it got hit by an electrical surge. Anyone have a not too old CPU and MB laying around they'd be willing to sell cheap? AT or ATX style ok. Thanks Pete

I have an old P133 you can have for free if you'll pay shipping. I did salvage all the attachables (modem, video card, sound card, etc.) off of it for my current computer. You can even have the whole case it's in, again, if you'll pay shipping.

I also have a very nice little (13 inch) color monitor that goes up to 800x600 and an Epson Color Stylus 200 free for the taking if you'll pay shipping. All fine parts that are a little older and simply cluttering up my house.

Rich, I really appreciate the offer but I was hoping for something 300mhz or higher as a lot of her software requires that. I hope you understand and thanks for your generous offer. Pete

Pete

I have a asus mb and amd 233 processor.

I also have a PIII 450 w\o mboard. You could go the ebay route for a mboard.

Email me if either of these might work...

Pete,

You can find systems at local computer shows dirt cheap!! Saw complete PII 450 Mhz PC selling for $90, complete with monitor at a computer show today. To find one in your area, go to http://www.marketproshows.com and look up your state, should be able to find something.
Figure you can find a partial system for $30-45 bucks, which'd be close to shipping charges.

good luck!
