Default Quadrajet value

Hello, I'm looking for help determining the value of two Rochester Quadrajet carbs. These wound up in the collection of a Mopar guy and we have no idea of the value. Thanks for your help.

7029202 DH

7029200 EE

Both carbs are complete and move freely, but will need to be rebuilt.

From the numbers they look like 69 model Chevrolet units, perhaps for automatic transmission. Pictures would be helpful. I'll give you ten bucks each. :-) o.k. I'm KIDDING!

Seriously, I can remember buying q-jets off the bone pile at the local scrap yard in the 80's. You could buy as many as you could carry for ten bucks each. No one wanted those "old slobberjets".

I bought five.

I put a mid 70s qjet on ebay and got $70 for it. It had sat on the shelf for 10 years.

Not sure about your numbers, but I bought 6 quadrajets at Super Chevy for $30.

I bought a pickup truck (300+ stopped counting) FULL of carbs for $180. Grant it, I know deals like this dont come around all the time. I also bought them below scrap price...

Whats nice about it is, I sold one of them for $200. I sold all the QJ for close the $1000 on ebay, pieced them out of course.

I still have about 40-50 2 jet GM carbs to go through. Not big money, but $10 a piece for most isnt bad. Some of the better numbers will bring more money.

You think I may be done...but I still haven't touched the Ford, Chrysler or Foreign carbs that are in the bunch.

When I bought them all my buddies were criticising me, stating nobody wants carburetors anymore. I call BS. Every carb but one that I have listed has sold for at least $15. The one that I havent sold...two barrel for a late 60's C30 I believe. I thought that someone would grab it for putting on the shelf...guess not. If it doesnt sell soon, it will go to the scrap yard.

The way I look at it, $10 X 300...you do the math. Now add the ones that go for $100 or $75. Again, you do the math.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Chevy-3...-/190648722200 Grant it, this one is rebuilt...

IF you google the number with the word carburetor (spelled correctly) you will find a bunch of listings for the carb your looking for.

Your 7029200 is a big block carb and has some value. Maybe $150 or more. Your 7029202 is a small block worth maybe $75. Just my opinion though.

Not sure where the term "grant it" comes from.
Granted.

I used to know a guy who said, "A dime and a dozen".

You can read “Grant it” as an imperative, meaning more or less “Come on! Admit it!”

I personally dont care what spelling mistakes I have in my postings...I compare people that have to correct others spelling mistakes to those that brag about their size of their johnson...we all know the truth about those types...lol

On the flipside, thanks for spelling correction. I schooled myself on the whole grant it, granted, granite eggcorn that you brought to my attention.

Ironically, I have an A in college english. Please dont tell.

You're

A in College English, huh? Hmmmmm??

For the record, I've never taken College English.

But I do know the difference between you're and your.

I'm just razzin ya fishhead.
We know you're as solid as a rock in English. And that shouldn't be taken for granite.

Is it possible to get an A+?

Oh I know your razzing me. It's quite ok too. I know the difference between you're and your as well. I know conjunctions and interjections, verbs, nouns, punctuation...I posted smilies in my earlier reply to convey my lolismness...

With that said...I post from my iPhone allot as I am with my preemie son at the NICU. My phone, even with all the software written into the autocorrect program, doesn't have an A in college nor does it truly know the difference of your and you're.

I could proof read my reply before hitting submit...but then you would be two posts short and out of a job.

Good times!

To the OP, have you decided on prices for these carbs? Also what shape are they in? Do they have all their parts?

This thread is about carburetors?????

Seth,
put them both on eBay and they'll bid them right up to what they are worth.

The 7029200 will bring $100-200(maybe even more) and the 7029202 will bring $50-100

Welcome to the Team Chevelle banter club.
